Modern Optical International is a family-owned business founded in 1974 and headquartered in suburban Chicago. It’s an industry leader in value eyewear, offering products for men, women and children worldwide.

Modern Optical’s most important marketing asset is its full-color product catalog, which is mailed to its entire customer base, distributed by sales staff and handed out at tradeshows. The catalog also serves as the source of creative and information for additional marketing pieces including a digital flipbook, calendars, and more. For more than 20 years, this critical project has been entrusted to Adventure.

Our creative minds and capable hands are all over this annual job. We provide product photography, photo editing, graphic design and printing. Years of careful planning, sales input and customer feedback have allowed us to perfect the process of putting the catalog together. We work with the team at Modern Optical to finalize the catalog layout before photographing frames, editing the photos and placing them into the catalog along with accompanying copy. The graphic design process also includes the development of unique cover concepts, as well as model shots that show men, women and children wearing Modern Optical frames.

Once the design is finalized, we go to press to print the catalogs and get them to Modern Optical for distribution. The longevity of our partnership with Modern Optical has been attributed to our cost-effectiveness, prompt turn times, high standard of quality and level of customer service. All of the hard work that goes into the catalog each year was recognized on a larger scale in 2017 when the catalog received a MarCom Gold Award for “Eyewear Catalog with a Superior User Experience” in the category of Print Media/Direct Marketing/Catalog.
